This week Nurdle and I were

invited to visit 6 schools and 10 different classes as part of the Bude Literacy festival. I worked with children between Reception age and year 4. We read stories, talked nurdles and microplastics, discussed whales. Dolphins, turtles and sharks. We delved into my big blue box of resources and had a great time, I loved it!

What a heartwarming initiative — visiting 6 schools and sparking conversations about nurdles, microplastics, and marine life with such young children is exactly the kind of early environmental education that creates lasting impact! Storytelling is such a powerful tool, and the way you combined it with hands-on resources makes the learning so much more memorable. Children who grow up understanding the impact of microplastics on marine life are the ones who'll actually do something about it. Thank…
I read the post about the Bude Literacy Festival, and it made me smile thinking about everyone sharing stories, reading together, and learning something new. When I was really stressed with revision, I used the NEBOSH exam preparation service while I took little breaks to read short poems, and that quiet mix of fun and study helped me stay calm. It reminded me that mixing learning with joy and support can make hard work feel easier.
